Buster Keaton – The dressing room

www.youtube.com Buster Keaton in “The cameraman”. The great Buster Keaton. The greatest physical comedian in cinema history. The Cameraman is a 1928 American silent comedy directed by Edward Sedgwick and an uncredited Buster Keaton. The picture stars Buster Keaton, Marceline Day, Harold Goodwin, and others. The Cameraman was Keaton’s first film with Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer. It is considered by fans and critics to be Keaton still in top form, and it was added to the National Film Registry in 2005 as being deemed “culturally, historically, or aesthetically significant.” Within a little over a year, however, MGM would remove creative control over his pictures from Keaton, thereby causing drastic and long-lasting harm to his career. Keaton was later to call the move to MGM “the worst mistake of my career.”

WELL YOU WILL BE OBJECTIVE IF YOU WATCH ANYTHING CHARLIE CHAPLIN HAS EVER DONE. KEATON SAID HIMSELF THAT CHAPLIN WAS THE FUNNIEST MAN EVER..BUT KEATON WAS STILL A GREAT PERFORMER. YOU SHOULD READ HIS MEMOIRS

The other actor seen here mixing it up with Buster is none other than Warner Brother’s great character actor, Edward V. Brophy. He credits Buster with giving him this role, his first real break in the business.

I read that they did that scene in only one take. Looks like they had a blast doing it. Buster had to cover his mouth because he was grinning. He truly loved to make people laugh. I salute you BK.

Gosh, I think I have a big problem with him…
I knew this man 11 years ago and I liked him because I found him funny (I didn’t find him attractive though) Later I found him awesome; later sweet; later attractive, later very atractive; later adorable (and still atractive) and since a year, I find him sweet, adorable and hot. I like him more and more through the years! and everytime I see one of his movies, I’m drooling for a man from 1920’s that is dead!! it makes me feel weird LOL

The music adds to this… hard to have been ‘ripped off’ from The Wizard of Oz, which came out in 1939 when Buster was 44…this is from The Cameraman which was was filmed 10 yrs earlier….maybe they ripped off this music for TWOOz!

The reason it took me so long to notice Buster smiling while he was on Mr. Brophey’s back is because I was too busy looking at his ass 😉
