Chaplin ♥ Robert Downey, Jr. ♥

The “comedy drunk” scene from Chaplin, the 1992 film starring the fantastic Robert Downey, Jr. If you haven’t seen this film I highly recommend seeing it.

Alright, so the real Charlie I find so adorable and funny, but I can’t see him in a sexual way. Attraction wise, I see him as the funny and cute gent a girl would want to be and have sweet innocent fantasies about. But when I saw Robert in this clip, he did the same thing, but he has this indirect sex appeal, if that makes any sense, in this.

  2. Simòn Lestrange says:

This scene is one of the best scene of this film!!! It’s great!!!

  3. Bmayo27 says:

Thank you for posting this! This is one of my favorite scenes in the movie!

  4. JFProds says:

Is the movie Mack Sennett is filming a real one?

  5. TheJediCharles says:

You’re forgetting how sexy being funny is.
Remember why Jessica Rabbit loved Roger… “He makes me laugh.”

  6. themillenia says:

Of course I see funny as sexy, but with the real Charlie, he’s more adorable than sexy.

  7. TheJediCharles says:

Well, I don’t know about that. You might have to ask one of his dozens upon dozens of perpetually young female companions, many of them wives, many not. He had girls in a queue fully aware they were competing for his limited space.
I dare suggest that Chaplin was bigger with the girls in his time and way than Downey is in his. Far more.

  8. disgrl4 says:

RDJ is absolutely gorgeous in this scene.

  9. themillenia says:

@merelydefective So true. Even though I like Pacino, Scent of a Woman was not Oscar worthy compared to this.

  10. Patrick Vaden says:

@merelydefective People just love to talk crap. They said he was too short to play Sherlock Holmes. I guess he’s never short or tall enough *rolls eyes*

  11. molly1564 says:

OMG! He sounds SO different with a british accent! I know he does it in Sherlock Holmes but its all cockney like here!

  12. soulkiller32 says:

i like it when rove asked rdj who would he turn gay for, and i rly want to see this movie

  13. darksideofozproduct says:

wow. i didn’t know that’s what hollywod was looking for in an actor. i’m gonna send my retarded younger brother to hollywood today

  14. themillenia says:

@merelydefective It bothers me too. I like Al Pacino and all but Scent of a Woman was not Oscar worthy. Some say that they gave Al that Oscar to make up for not giving him one for the Godfather. Robert should have won it. He was amazing.

  15. MrKaBkA3e says:

Robert Downey Jr. should have won best actor for this role. Not only did he resemble Chaplin but learned the accent and physical movement as the little tramp. Although the film could have focused more on his career and struggles rather than his relationships. Nevertheless less an award winning performance

  16. fLipsidebyFlipside says:

@merelydefective hey i he got an oscar for that

  17. lilboxer022 says:

    Love that seen

Even though this moment in not historically accurate, this is one of my favorite scenes from the movie! RDJ NAILED that role!

  20. Hạnh Minh Nguyễn says:

Robert was spectacular in this movie.
By the way, he played the old Chaplin but I guess the filming crew could not expect Robert to be hotter as he grows older :))

  21. Ga1tecnologics says:

alguien sabe donde puedo descargar esta peli estoy cansado de buscarla y no la encuentro

  22. jezzjjaf says:

  23. wngFangel says:

This film has long been considered Robert’s masterpiece.

  24. Danielle Duffy says:
