The Internet can subject you to shocking and startling images and writings — the worst of which include reminders of a recent ex from a traumatic break-up. Other surfers recoil after bombardments of Lilo, Justin Bieber or other annoying Internet memes.

A recent study was conducted of 1000 Facebook users, and 25% reported that they had either dumped their girlfriend or boyfriend, or been dumped, through the Facebook site. As the old song indicates, breaking up is hard to do — but not on Facebook.
